CBS Annual Day of Prayer

Our nation – our world – is in desperate need of prayer. In light of this, and because we are a praying body, CBS will be hosting its Annual Day of Prayer event on Wednesday, May 3rd, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon CST.

Our Annual Day of Prayer worship event will take place on the CBS Houston campus. However, the first and second sessions will be live-streamed, via YouTube, to all CBS students, staff, and anyone living anywhere with an internet connection (see below for link and Session schedules).

“Completion Medal” for our Virtual Marathon will be handed out on Houston and Indianapolis campuses. Remote participants will receive it via mail.

Worship, Teaching, Spiritual Preparation: (9:00 – 10:00 AM CST) 

Preparing our hearts and minds for a Christ-centered, Spirit-filled time of focused prayer to our merciful heavenly Father. Includes a devotional by Chaplain Mike Haywood, with worship led by Dr. Chad Brawley.

Intercessory Prayer: 
(10:15 – 11:00 AM CST) 

Prayer for those on campuses and online, with focus on our college, our communities, our nation, and our world.


Departmental Prayer Meetings: (11:15 – 12:00 PM CST) 

CBS department heads will lead their teams back to their respective department areas and lead them through specific personal and professional prayer requests. 

Fellowship Lunches:
(12:00 – 1:00 PM CST) 

Houston and Indianapolis campuses will host lunches for anyone interested in participating. A time of rich fellowship on the heels of a prayerful morning! 

PLEASE NOTE: This event will take the place of our weekly CBS Chapel service on May 3rd, so be sure to join us as together we bring our praises and petitions before our heavenly Father, for the good of our nation and the glory of His magnificent name!
